Pilot on home care support solutions

As part of the Connected for Health project, a home care pilot is arranged in co-operation with Alavus municipality and Kuusiokunnat primary health care district. The first part of the pilot started in July 2015 – during it, Alavus’ home care personnel will test virtual consultation with city’s primary health care centre in wound treatment cases. Receiving real time support for treatment from a specialized wound nurse brings added security to work and reduces home care customers’ need to visit the health centre.

During August and September, further parts of the pilot will start. During them virtual communication means are tested between home care personnel and customers as part of the regular care processes; allowing testing of virtual visits during daytime and distance monitoring of customers during nighttime. Pilot will be implemented until February 2016.
