Registration to the PrimCareIT Conference “Connecting Health Care Professionals via ICT” is now open

The Baltic Sea Region Programme 2007-2013’s health technology project PrimCareIT has been running for almost two years now. The project, which is led by South Ostrobothnia Health Care District and managed from EPTEK, will organise the conference “Connecting Health Care Professionals via ICT” on February 14th 2014 in Tallinn, Estonia.

This conference is dedicated to showing the results and developments of the PrimCareIT project.  The conference programme contains political round table discussion, which is expected to receive participants from partner countries’ ministries of health and social affairs. Furthermore, the conference will present the results achieved during the project. The project partners have been working towards solutions to counteract health care professionals’ brain drain and professional isolation in rural areas. The goal was to make remote primary health care more attractive to health professionals. By testing and piloting tele-mentoring and tele-consultation solutions, we found a way to provide opportunities for professional networking, continuing medical education and career development. Through these means, it is possible to secure more equal access to health services for all citizens.
