South Ostrobothnian proposal on testing health technologies in fibre networks approved by European Parliament

European Parliament has approved a 1 million € proposal made by Finnish MEPs Anneli Jäätteenmäki and Riikka Pakarinen. The approved proposal covers a pilot project to test health technologies in fibre networks. The proposal has been prepared in co-operation with South Ostrobothnian organisations, including South Ostrobothnia Health Technology Development Centre (EPTEK).

One million euros is addressed to test new health technology applications in open fibre networks. Such networks can be found in South Ostrobothnia in the regions of Kuusiokunnat and Suupohja. Regional co-operation led by South Ostrobothnia Regional Council aims to gather an international consortium to apply for and execute the now approved pilot project.
