TUPA – Support and wellbeing to living at home

”TUPA – Support and wellbeing to living at home” is a continuation project to the project Well-being Living Lab (2009-2012). Project aims at regularizing the model of multidimensional homecare support groups (KAT groups) which were established during the Well-being Living Lab project. Project is carried out within the South Ostrobothnia region in the municipalities of Alavus, Kauhava, Lapua, Seinäjoki and Ähtäri.

Project aims

The main aim of the project is to regularize the multidimensional homecare support groups as a part of the permanent functions of participating municipalities. In order to enable this work, tools and cooperating networks will be developed. In addition, project aims at enhancing reachability of wellbeing services and increasing knowledge on independent living support solutions. Project aims at:

  • Establishing a permanent method for supporting independent living of elderly
  • Liberalization of the health personnel resources
  • Good cooperation between public, private and third sector
  • Accessibility of the welfare services to all older people across the region
  • Reducing the feeling of loneliness and increasing the satisfaction of elderly
  • Reporting on the welfare benefits of home care service package services
